About Me

I attended the University of Phoenix for my undergraduate education, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I obtained my Master's of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in 2015 with a gpa of 3.99.

My general approach to therapy is called person centered. This means that I believe each client knows themselves and their life better than I ever could, and that I believe they have the answers to their problems inside of them. However, I recognize that sometimes having someone else to guide or provide an outside prospective can be helpful in finding the answers. I have been trained in several modalities that I use to varying degrees dependent upon the client I am serving at the time.

I have extensive training in Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, Emotionally Focused couples therapy, Attachment therapy, Attachment Based Family Therpay, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavior therapy, and Narrative therapy. Some of these treatments appeal to those who are focused on getting the skills they need in the moment to move forward quickly, while others may prefer the ones that are helpful in processing past experiences, which can take a bit more time.
